Visual inspection for structural audit and Non - destructive testing
B) Methodology for above work scope as under:-
Visual survey (Externally and internally): The flats/structure will be inspected to find out the structural defects, leakage points, plumbing defects, plaster defects, cracks and crazing, beam and column wall delamination, if any. The critical if any will be reported immediately. The open terraces will be inspected to find out the various defects in waterproofing layer. Apart from other structural, non-structural defects will also be recorded on the observation sheets, which will form the bulk of the data collected and noted on drawings and will be attached with the report, the results of each RCC structural member will be recorded on observation sheet. These are the locations that need to be taken up immediately for remedial measures. The various photographs will be taken to highlight the various distress levels at various locations.
Any internal changes structurally if made by the individual flat owners will be noted & reported to the client.
Delamination survey (FOR RCC): The accessible RCC structural members will be tapped with hammers to find out the delamination zones that will give the idea about the hollowness if any inside the columns and beams, which will help in defining the remedial measures.
NDT in the form of UPV, RHT, CP and CD Will be performed on the structural members
